Plan Design

Meet with client to review objectives and recommend the plan type best suited to meet those objectives Draft Plan document and employee summary plan description for review by legal counsel Submit plan to IRS for favorable determination letter Prepare employee communication materials announcing the plan and its provisions Conduct employee enrollment meetings

Plan Administration

Traditional balance forward accounting method Complete individual participant statements, master summary allocation and executive reports Perform coverage and non-discrimination testing including average benefit test and general test Prepare signature-ready annual tax returns to IRS (Form 5500) Assist auditors with required annual plan audits Prepare Summary Annual Report for distribution to participants Process payrolls and contributions on either a per pay period basis or monthly basis Process plan benefits that become due as a result of termination/retirement Process loans and other transactions as needed Review Plan compliance QDRO review
